| The Office of Institutional
Research supports and assists the University's planning and
decision making through facilitating and coordinating the collection,
analysis, and interpretation of institutional data in an effective,
cohesive, and timely manner.
The responsibilities of the Office
cover a broad array of services:
- Providing institutional data for
University accountability to its constituents, including Federal
government, State government, and communities
- Serving as the University's point of
contact for external reports and surveys requested by educational
and commercial agencies
- Providing institutional information
to University administrators, faculty and staff in support of
planning and decision making
- Assisting colleges and departments
in program reviews, accreditation and assessment
- Performing research on the workings
of the University for strengths and weaknesses in attaining
educational goals and objectives
- Scanning both internal and external
environmental factors which would enable the University to attain
optimal use of its resources to reach its goals and objectives
